Sometimes It Snows In April

Hello!

This time last year I'm pretty sure I was spending my days in shorts and dresses, I have forgotten what having bare legs and not wearing a coat feels like! Even the weather man was apologizing for the forecast on the news this week, April is looking pretty bleak.

Even though it is freezing cold and snowy in London there is still plenty of fun to be had (in twelve layers) so this week my friend Fran and I decided to have a nice cultured day out - we started off at the V&A, which is probably my favourite museum in London, but I was really sad as when we tried to get into the amazing library a huge bouncer threw us out claiming you weren't allowed bags in there?! I suppose people try to steal the books and Fran and I obviously looked like criminals.

We went for lunch and ate our own weight in food before heading to The Old Operating Theatre. Now, I've already posted about this place before and I absolutely love it. Think my obsession with old medicine stems from GCSE History where I met my best friend Megan and we would spend our days making up songs about historical figures, anyway this love has stayed with me so The Old Operating Theatre is like heaven to my inner history geek.

I think Fran was a bit scared of all the medical paraphernalia and it made her quite grateful for the NHS so after looking at rusty amputation tools I took her to Patisserie Lila in Borough Market to recover with a giant slab of red velvet cake.

I hope you are all coping in this bitter April weather, let's all hope summer is just around the corner!

Frosty London

Hello!

Once again I am apologising for having not posted for absolutely ages. When I was a fresher I really did think that third year would be a walk in the park, I mean how hard is to write one big old essay?! Well apparently it is MUCH harder than I anticipated and I now spend all of my days in the library, slowly losing my mind and soul.

As well as my horrible dissertation, I am also making a magazine for my Final Major Project. My friend Claire and I chose to do an Indie magazine aimed at guys and girls involving all things fashion, music, exhibitions, gigs, films, books - basically anything and everything that young professionals and students love to read about!
This weekend we went to London to do our voxpops and to find some stylish young people to snap photographs of for our Street Style section. We also started to do one of the photoshoots for the magazine but had to stop because it was SO freezing and our hands were blue.

Here is a sneak peak of some of our snaps from the weekend!

London Calling

Hello!

Sorry it has been such a ridiculously long time since my last post, what with uni and dissertation and lack of inspiration it has been a pretty dreary week!

I am back in London this weekend so am surrounded by nice things to take photographs of. I walked along the Southbank today and went to the Tate and Borough Market (which I am lucky enough to live a two minute walk from.)

My brother trusted me to play around with his Canon and also made an excellent model and photographer himself!
I love being back in London, it's so vibrant and lively and I just want to snap away at everything.
Being back has made me feel really inspired, and my fellow blogger and friend Charlotte (apple-charlotte.com) has also had an inspiring few days so we will be back in full force next week with some photographs of our adventures.

Being at these skate ramps ALWAYS makes me want to fulfil my ambition of learning to skate. How does everyone else look so cool and composed on a board? Someone teach me please.

The thing I love about London is that you never know what to expect when you go for a wander. We found half a boat tucked behind some horrible grey buildings. There is always beauty behind the ugly in this city!

I really enjoyed this random display of umbrellas that was apparently there for no reason whatsoever.
